Lion Ayoola Sogbesan is a seasoned banking professional and service leader whose journey reflects a deep commitment to leadership, excellence, and community impact.
His leadership journey began in the Leo movement where he served as Secretary of Ikeja Leo Club and later served as Project Director of the Club, building a strong foundation in youth leadership and community service.
He later joined a team of friends to charter the Ikeja Dynamic Model Lions Club, where he served as the Charter Secretary and subsequently rose to become the 4th President of the club. Over the years, he has continued to contribute actively at the district level, serving in several strategic leadership roles including Zone Chairperson, Chief of Protocol, and most recently District Cabinet Treasurer of Lions District 404B2 Nigeria.
He has also served the district in various key capacities including Special Adviser to the District Governor on Finance, Director of Finance and Budgeting, GLT Secretary, and Secretary of the District Electoral Committee. His commitment to service and leadership excellence has earned him several Outstanding Performance Awards from District Governors.
Professionally, Ayoola is an experienced banking executive and product manager with over a decade of experience in digital banking, alternative channels, and financial services strategy. Known for his analytical mindset and operational precision, he has played key roles in enhancing digital financial products, strengthening channel performance, and driving customer-focused innovation.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC) and an alumnus of the University of Ibadan, the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, and the London Graduate School, where he further strengthened his expertise in management, finance, and leadership.
Beyond his professional and service commitments, Ayoola is a mentor, trainer, and public speaker who is passionate about developing emerging leaders within the Lions and Leo community. He is also a devoted husband of over 11 years and a proud father, balancing leadership with strong family values.
