PCC Teslim Sanusi

Alh. (Dr.) Teslim Adekunle Sanusi was born in Erin-lle, a quite but cash cropping producing town of Kwara State on Wednesday, 23rd December, 1942.

His father worked with the Nigerian Railways as Station Master and so they moved from place to place. This affected his education so much that he attended Baptist Primary School, Kaduna in the then Northern Nigerian and Eastern Academy, Onitsha, in the then Eastern Nigeria. But what little Sanusi could have lost with these movements, he gained in a robust childhood orientation.

He speaks the three major Nigerian languages: Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba impeccably.

Career/Achievements:

Sanusi had his early working life at the Institute for Agricultural Research of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and Guinea Insurance Company Limited, Kaduna before travelling for overseas course. On return, and fired by the desire to etch his name in the Insurance profession, Dr. Sanusi picked up an appointment with Gateway Insurance Company Ilorin, Kwara State and later the Nigeria Airways where he rose to the position of Deputy Director (Risks Management & Insurance), before leaving the company to pioneer his own broking company. He was the Interim Chairman of CRIB (now merged with Oak Pensions) Pensions Fund Managers and a Director of Oil, Gas and Energy Insurance Brokers (OGE) as well as Chairman/Proprietor Benchmark Montessori School (BMS).. Dr. Sanusi is presently the Chief Executive Officer of Cosmic Insurance Brokers Ltd which celebrates its 40th year of operation this year and Chairman of Federated Loss Adjusters, Alfa International Group, Cibod, as well as Chairman, Santex Drinking Water.
