Lagos Passionate Lions Club has reaffirmed its commitment to environmental sustainability and community development through a tree-planting and clean-up exercise held on July 11, 2026 at Dairy Farm Senior Secondary School, Agege, Lagos, located opposite the Lions Vocational Centre.
The environmental initiative was organized to promote awareness among students, teachers, and members of the school community on the importance of protecting the environment and creating a healthier, greener future through sustainable practices.
Speaking on the significance of the project, the club emphasized that tree planting and environmental conservation remained essential steps toward building resilient communities and improving the quality of life for future generations.
During the exercise, eight members of the Lagos Passionate Lions Club actively participated in planting trees within the school premises and cleaning the surrounding environment. The activity helped to improve the appearance of the school environment while encouraging students and staff to embrace the culture of environmental responsibility.
The successful completion of the project reflected the Lions Clubs International commitment to addressing community needs through impactful service initiatives. The programme also demonstrated the club’s dedication to creating lasting change through hands-on projects that benefit both people and the planet.
The club appreciated all members who contributed their time, energy, and resources toward making the initiative a success, noting that their collective efforts strengthened the spirit of service and fellowship among Lions.
Lagos Passionate Lions Club continues to uphold its motto of service, demonstrating that through unity, compassion, and commitment, communities can be transformed.
